Exploring Oxford

Use Oxford's interactive map to find historic and scenic sites of the city and university, as well as restaurants and other useful locations-- simply click on the desired icons to see detailed descriptions. These are only the opinions of one Oxforrd student, and I have tried to list primarily the most important and fascinating sites. Oxford is a city that is most exciting and best discovered when walking around and exploring the streets and alleyways on your own. For the less daring, there are also "hop-on/hop-off" bus tours around the city (Sightseeing Oxford-- buses come every 15 minutes and the cost is around £15 for the day).

Below are collections of photography from around Oxford:

Accommodations

Oxford provides the unique opportunity for anyone to stay in college accomodations at various times throughout the year. Availabilities of Oxford colleges for the general public can be found at www.oxfordrooms.co.uk. Many hotels are also available around the city, particularly around the center of the city, which allows all the most important sites to remain within walking distance. Also take note of the accommodations listed on the interactive map above.
